浜松の中心市街地の空き室を用いた市民工房。消費の場となっている中心市街地にかつてあったような生産拠点を再び呼び戻し、周囲のものづくりに対する小さな困りごとを依頼者と共に解決した。約1ヶ月という短い期間で50を超えるものを生産し、その様は建築の町医者のようであった。期間中は、地域で活動するアーティストや研究者によるワークショップも開催し、できるだけ多様な人が集まるよう仕掛けた。また、地場材の天竜杉や地元企業のレーザーカッターを取り入れて、浜松の潜在的な創造力の向上も目指した。このプロジェクトの大きな狙いは、素材や道具や知識の交換と共に人的な交流の活発化を意図しており、多くの人に建築やデザインを浸透させることを目論んだ。

We changed the empty room in the city area to a citizen workshop. We made a production base that once existed in the urban area and solved the problem what surrounding people are in trouble. Producing more than 50 things in a short period of one month, it seemed like a town doctor of architecture. During the period, workshops by artists and researchers were also held, so that as many people as possible gathered. We also set up local materials and equipment of local companies, aimed to improve the potential creativity of the area. A major aim of this project is to make creative community with offering tools, skills and knowledge. We want to create a situation where creativity is open to all.
